CONGRATULATIONS to our school band who won prizes at their competition over the weekend – special mention to Liam Deakin who won in the soloist section and Ben Ramsey who was placed 3rd in the soloist section.

ASSEMBLIES this week are year based:  Y7 – TUESDAY,  Y8 – WEDNESDAY,   Y9 – THURSDAY,   Y10 – FRIDAY.  Pupils should get their mark and make their way promptly to the Drama Theatre,

SENIOR TEAM SELECTION PROCESS – the next stage is on Wednesday of this week. Watch this space.

Y11 PHYSICS EXAM – early lunch then be at your exam room by 12:50 p.m.

ATHLETICS – today’s event for Y7 and Y8 has been postponed.

Y11 LEAVERS’ MASS – anyone wishing to take part in any way needs to see Miss Hughes TODAY.

Well done to all who took part in the first performance of our annual Dance and Music Festival.  You were great!  The final performance is TONIGHT – some tickets are still available.  It starts at 6:00 p.m.

TODAY is SENIOR TEAM ELECTION DAY – all Y10 and staff are eligible to vote.  The Polling Station is in the Foyer and is open at break, lunch and after school till 3:00 p.m.

 Y10 Work Experience – please make sure your application is progressing.  Any questions, see Miss McNulty.

DANCE and MUSIC FESTIVAL – our annual festivals starts tonight at 6:00 p.m. and continues tomorrow at the same time.  Tickets are available at the Main Office. (Adults £4, Children/Concessions £2.)

GCSE EXAMS start on Monday, 12th May, 2014.

SENIOR TEAM ELECTIONS – tomorrow is voting day!  Y10 can vote in the Foyer before school, at break and lunch and immediately after school.

Good luck to those doing GCSE ART today.  Anyone doing Art lessons today should go to the ‘thumb machine’ where they will be directed to a classroom.

Y9 PATHWAYS EVENT takes place tomorrow.  You have had letters about this so make sure you come at the appropriate time.  The Market Place is available from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

  • Hope/Unity pupils – your presentation is @ 6:40 p.m.

Y10 Work Experience Self Placement – get a form from Miss McNulty.

PUNCTUALITY – please note if you are late twice in a week – you will be on detention with Mr Pennington.
